You will be amazed by the serene beauty of crystal clear rivers and lakes amidst majestic pines and spruce, by sweet-smelling meadows and fields. The river Vilia and its inflows carry their waters along the steep banks of Oshmyani hills and Naroch-Vilia lowlands. At the north of the region one can find the Kaiminsk group of lakes that are called Sorochansk necklace, at the Kotlovka village a glacier once created the so-called Ostrovets Switzerland. D.Karic: Minsk should become a global financial center

Minsk should become a global financial center, Honorary Consul of Belarus to Belgrade Dragomir Karic said in an interview to the Belarus One TV channel, BelTA has learned.

I believe that Minsk will become a global financial center very quickly, noted Dragomir Karic. To support his statement the Honorary Consul cited the Minsk Mir project which, once completed, would welcome the worlds biggest financial corporations. >>>

New technological phases, growth areas named Belarus major goals for 2016-2020

Belarus should come out of the ongoing five-year period with new technological phases and growth areas, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Science and Industry Association Georgy Grits said in an interview to the ONT TV channel as he commented on Belarus draft social and economic development program for 2016-2020.

According to Georgy Grits, a classical procedure of achieving economic goals of the program envisages the development of new technological phases and new products with high profitability and returns. >>>

Financial stability council established in Belarus

A Financial Stability Council has been established in Belarus by the joint executive order of the Council of Ministers and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, the press service of the Belarus government told BelTA.

The Financial Stability Council is led by Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB) Pavel Kallaur and First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vasily Matyushevsky. >>>

Grodno Oblast, Central Bohemian Region of Czechia to establish ties in tourism, high technology

Grodno Oblast and Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic are planning to establish ties in tourism and high technology. These issues were high on the agenda of a meeting between Chairman of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee Vladimir Kravtsov and stats secretary, deputy head for education, youth and physical education of Central Bohemia Region Milan Nemec, BelTA has learned.

Swiss investors to implement agricultural projects in Grodno Oblast

Plans have been made to implement two agricultural projects in Grodno Oblast with assistance of investors from Switzerland. Grodno Oblast Governor Vladimir Kravtsov made the relevant statement as he met with Pascal Aebischer, Head of the Office of the Embassy of Switzerland in Minsk, on 9 June, BelTA has learned.
