Ostrovets region is the fourth largest region of the Grodno oblast situated at the very north of it.

If you happen to visit this incredible land, you will be forever drawn to it. You will be amazed by the serene beauty of crystal clear rivers and lakes amidst majestic pines and spruce, by sweet-smelling meadows and fields. The river Vilia and its inflows carry their waters along the steep banks of Oshmyani hills and Naroch-Vilia lowlands. At the north of the region one can find the Kaiminsk group of lakes that are called “Sorochansk necklace”, at the Kotlovka village a glacier once created the so-called “Ostrovets Switzerland”.
